Ace of Shades was released today. I feel like I’ve been talking about this book for years now (though it’s only been a few months). I’m so excited for everyone to get the chance to finally read this book.
I thought it was time to do another post on pre-order specials. Ordering your book early helps authors and many of them have specials if you send them a copy of your receipt. I have started pre-ordering a lot to help spread out the cost. Especially since so many books come out on the same day. I’m sorry if I sometimes post the same one multiple times. Some are announced pretty early.

In case you didn’t know, I’m part of the #ShadowGang street team for Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody. The release date is getting closer, so I wanted to share another post with the book and pre-order information. I’m on the #Irons team.
My pre-order special posts have been pretty popular and I plan to make another one soon. Today I thought I would share some pictures of some of the items I’ve received. It’s one thing to read about what you receive, but seeing it might convince some of you to give it a try. I know that pre-orders help authors and I appreciate these specials that so many of them have.
Getting a personalized thank you from the author really makes my day. This is the special from Rebecca Ross (she also had a big giveaway, but I didn’t win).
I’m actually surprised that I finished as much as I did in February. I barely read on vacation, so it took me over a week to finish one book. Somehow I managed to read a lot this week. Probably because I have been sick and didn’t do much around the house. I ended up reading 8 books and finishing 1 audiobook (listened to in the car with my husband) for a total of 9 books for February. My blog also did pretty well.
First I’ll share my blog stats. I want to start doing this monthly to see how things are going. I’m hoping to keep improving on the numbers. This month was shorter, but the numbers are still good.
I am part of the Ace of Shades Street Team (Irons), so I thought I would give this tag a try. I found it on the Literary Phoenix blog.
I don’t think I’ll have answers for all of the questions, but can hopefully fill out most of them.
Ace of Shades takes place in the very mysterious, very dangerous City of Sin. Name a fictional city with a personality of it’s own!
I think my go to answer for questions like this have to be the world of Harry Potter. The whole city feels alive with magic and different creatures. I can’t think of any other one that has so much personality.
Welcome to the City of Sin, where casino families reign, gangs infest the streets…
and secrets hide in every shadow.
Enne Salta was raised as a proper young lady, and no lady would willingly visit New Reynes, the so-called City of Sin. But when her mother goes missing, Enne must leave her finishing school—and her reputation—behind to follow her mother’s trail to the city where no one survives uncorrupted.
Frightened and alone, her only lead is a name: Levi Glaisyer. Unfortunately, Levi is not the gentleman she expected—he’s a street lord and a con man. Levi is also only one payment away from cleaning up a rapidly unraveling investment scam, so he doesn’t have time to investigate a woman leading a dangerous double life. Enne’s offer of compensation, however, could be the solution to all his problems.
Their search for clues leads them through glamorous casinos, illicit cabarets and into the clutches of a ruthless mafia donna. As Enne unearths an impossible secret about her past, Levi’s enemies catch up to them, ensnaring him in a vicious execution game where the players always lose. To save him, Enne will need to surrender herself to the city…
