Top Five Tuesday 11/12/19

Top Five Tuesday was created by Bionic Book Worm.  You can find the topics on the blog I just linked.

This week’s topic is:  authors I need to read.

There are actually a lot of authors that I haven’t read yet.  Or at least I don’t think I’ve read anything by them.  I decided to go with authors that have quite a few books out vs picking someone with one or two books.

Feel free to shame me!  I hate that I haven’t gotten to books by these authors yet.  There are some others that would have made the list, but I finally read something from them this year.  I’m almost positive I haven’t read anything by these authors yet.

Neal Shusterman

I know!  Scythe is so loved (even by my husband).  That trilogy is on my TBR and I definitely want to give it a try.  I know Neal has a lot of books.  Dry is another one I want to read.

Cassandra Clare

I loved the Shadowhunters TV show.  I know a lot of people hated it.  But I haven’t read any of the books yet.  I’m sure if I loved the show, I’ll love the books more.  There are just so many of them!

Marissa Meyer

Renegades is pretty high up on my backlist TBR.  I now have all three books.  They’re big.  That’s a large commitment.  Not as much as Cassandra Clare’s would be, but I need to make sure I set aside a good chunk of time before I start the books.  I’m curious about Cinder, too.

Susan Dennard

I’m on the street team/fan team for the Witchlands series and I haven’t started them. 😦  I own all of them, so hopefully that will help motivate me to start.  They sound so good and I’m sure I’ll love the books.

Kendare Blake

I have a feeling I’ll love the Three Dark Crowns books and own them.  I just haven’t started yet.  I see a trend here.  So many books, not enough time.  I also think I’d like Anna Dressed In Blood.

Have you read books by these authors?  Who are some that you really want to read, but haven’t had a chance to yet?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

  1. Scythe was one of those rare books with twists that totally suprised me. Love it when than happens. I loved the Three Dark Crowns series (still need to read the last one), but if you’re a horror fan, also check out her Anna Dressed in Blood series -it’s fantastic.
