Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. You can find each week’s topic on her site.
This week’s topic is favorite things to eat or drink while reading. I wasn’t able to think of ten for this. I’m not a big fan of eating while reading, so I mostly named the things I drink with a couple food items.
This is for morning reading. But it’s usually cold coffee. I drink hot once in awhile. I almost always have a cup in the morning. Either Starbucks skinny latte or the Starbucks with almond milk.
This is more of an evening drink in the winter for me. It’s comforting, just like reading.
White Wine (sweet)
I occasionally have a late afternoon/early evening glass of wine. I love to take my book and wine into the bathroom for a hot bubble bath.
This is my every day pop. I usually have a glass every day, so I tend to be drinking it when reading.
I’m picky on these and only like a few of them. As I’m writing this, I’m drinking Kula Watermelon. The coconut is my favorite. I usually hate things with low sugar, but this has 2 grams for a whole bottle and tastes decent. And it has caffeine.
Fresh Fruit Juice or Smoothies
I love these in the summer. It’s the perfect beach drink (not that I’m at the beach often). I’ll drink smoothies here, but the fresh juice has been more on vacations.
I try to snack on things like this when reading. They’re not messy (and I always wipe my fingers). There is a kind my husband buys that I like a lot. I want to say they’re blue corn with flax seeds? I love regular tortilla chips, too, especially if they’re fresh.
These are a new favorite. I tried them in Belize this past April and was hooked. Theirs were freshly made, but I can find some at Trader Joe’s for home. They’re not as good, but it’s better than nothing.
That’s pretty much it for me. I rarely snack while eating, but I am always sipping on something to drink.
Did you do this week’s top ten? If so, make sure you share your link. Do you snack while eating? What is your absolute favorite?
