July 2019 Wrap Up

I had quite a few things going on in July, so I’m kind of surprised I finished as many books as I did.  I definitely found some new favorites, too.

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig  (earc)  4 stars

Some Places More Than Others by Renee Watson (physical arc)  5 stars

Mooncakes by Wendy Xu and Suzanne Walker (earc)  5 stars

The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young (earc)  4 stars

The Girl Who Loved Ghosts by K.C. Tansley (earc)  4  1/2 stars

Wilder Girls by Rory Power (finished book)  5 stars

Rebel Girls by Elizabeth Keenan  (earc)  4 stars

Becoming The Dark Prince  (ebook)  5 stars

Tiger Queen by Annie Sullivan  (earc)  5 stars

Life Is Short And Then You Die edited by Kelley Armstrong (physical arc)  4

The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones  (earc)   4  1/2 stars

The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett  (physical arc)  5 stars

Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron  (earc)  5 stars

Phoenix Resurrection (finished gn)  4 stars

So that is 14 books for the month of July.  Not too bad.  My favorites were:  Tiger Queen, The Lady Rogue, Kingdom of Souls, and Wilder Girls.  But as you can see, I liked everything I read.

How was your month of July?  Have you read any of these books?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

    1. Thank you! We just had a concert (festival), a party, and my daughter was home for a couple days. Plus all the regular things. I still tried to read a good amount, but there were a few days I didn’t get much read which isn’t normal for me.

  1. Wilder Girls got 5 Stars from me too! Really liked it; especially the eco-horror/thriller aspect + the female-friendship focus! I want to definitely read Mooncakes soonish! It sounds like the perfect summer read with all its fluffy and cute goodness.
