Let Me Hear A Rhyme by Tiffany D. Jackson
In the next striking and vibrant standalone novel by the critically acclaimed author of Allegedly and Monday’s Not Coming, Tiffany D. Jackson tells the story of three Brooklyn teens who plot to turn their murdered friend into a major rap star by pretending he is still alive.
Biggie Smalls was right. Things done changed. But that doesn’t mean that Quadir and Jarrell are okay letting their best friend Steph’s tracks lie forgotten in his bedroom after he’s killed—not when his beats could turn any Bed-Stuy corner into a celebration, not after years of having each other’s backs.
Enlisting the help of Steph’s younger sister, Jasmine, Quadir and Jarrell come up with a plan to promote Steph’s music under a new rap name: The Architect. Soon, everyone in Brooklyn is dancing to Steph’s voice. But then his mixtape catches the attention of a hotheaded music rep and—with just hours on the clock—the trio must race to prove Steph’s talent from beyond the grave.
Now, as the pressure—and danger—of keeping their secret grows, Quadir, Jarrell, and Jasmine are forced to confront the truth about what happened to Steph. Only each has something to hide. And with everything riding on Steph’s fame, together they need to decide what they stand for before they lose everything they’ve worked so hard to hold on to—including each other.

I know this has a lot of mixed reviews, but I own it and still want to give it a try. Have you read it?
Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go
I’m going to start doing these a little differently to save picture space/time. I’ll still list all 15-20 books, but I’m only going to add a few pictures. It will likely be the books I’m keeping unless there are none for the week. Then I’ll add a few random ones so it’s not super boring.

I hope that everyone that celebrates Easter has a wonderful day. Even if you don’t, I hope you have a wonderful day, too.
It looks like May is another busy month for book releases. This is obviously not everything coming out. Just books I’m looking forward to and some that are really popular already.

This was tough to narrow down and I may change my mind at a later time. But I narrowed it down to ten books that top my list from January through March (books I read those months).
These are in no particular order. All were 5 star reads for me.

We decided to visit the coast for our second full day in Belize (third day there). After looking at a lot of different places, we found that Placencia is only a 2 hour drive from where we’re staying. So if we can, this is where we will be today. I’m hoping to get there early and see if we can find a decent priced boat ride out to one of the cayes by the barrier reef. But if not, I just want to explore and swim.
Visit this link to learn more about Placencia.

If things are going as planned, we are taking a trip to Guatemala today. It’s also my husband’s birthday (Happy Birthday Jesse).
We only have a couple full days to do bigger things while on vacation, and thought this was a must see. We were able to book a trip to Tikal through our hotel.

As you’re reading this, I’m on a plane to Belize. I have posts scheduled to go up, but I won’t be able to reply to comments until I get back. It’s only a 4 day trip, but I know I’ll need a couple days to recover and then catch up on everything.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Are you going on vacation anywhere this year? Where would you love to visit?
