The New Disney Princess Book Tag

I was tagged by TBR and Beyond’s Blog for The New Disney Princess Book Tag.  I’m horrible at tags, but I thought I would give this one a try.

The Rules:

  • Mention who tagged you or where you saw the tag.
  • Tag Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews and Zuky @ BookBum so they can check out the wonderful Princess fun throughout the blog world
  • Play a game of tag at the end!

SNOW WHITE – this book (like the movie) started it all
Favourite debut book from an author

I had so many favorite debuts this year.  I’m going to cheat and pick a few.  I don’t think Reign is technically a debut, but a lot of people put it as one (ya published with a big publisher).

CINDERELLA – a diamond in the rough
Just like Cinderella, you didn’t expect much out of this character in the
beginning, but they turned out to be a total gem

There were multiple characters in this that I didn’t expect to love the way I did.

32620332

AURORA – sleeping beauty
A book that makes you sleepy or could not hold your attention

I just couldn’t get into this book and it was a dnf for me.

29422091

ARIEL – under the sea
A book with a water/ocean setting

I actually read quite a few of these this year.

37822534

BELLE – beauty and the books
Name a book with the best bookworm/book lover

15745753

JASMINE – the thief and the princess
Name a book with an unlikely love story (either in terms of romance or a book
you didn’t expect to love so much)

I definitely didn’t expect to love this book, but it’s one that I think about often.

38139409

POCAHONTAS – the real life princess
Name a book that is based on a real life person you want to read/have read

While this is technically fiction, The Bell Jar is very much about Sylvia Plath’s life.

395040

MULAN – the princess that saved her country
Name the fiercest heroine you know

I could have picked so many, but I had to go with Rose.  I don’t think she gets enough love.

345627

TIANA – the princess with the coolest and most diverse crew
Name a diverse book, whether it is a diverse set of characters or just diverse in general

32075671

RAPUNZEL – let your long hair down
Name the longest book you’ve ever read

According to Goodreads, this is my longest at 832 pages.

238926

MERIDA – I determine my own fate
A book where there is no love story/interest

This was a much harder one.  Most books I read have a love interest.

40642172

ANNA & ELSA – frozen hearts
A book in a winter/cold setting

34842042

MOANA – how far »I’ll go
A character that goes on a journey

I wasn’t sure which book to chose, but this one takes place on a boat.

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

  1. Loved reading your answers! I also loved Touch Of Gold! it was really a great debut! I can’t wait to read the next book! I haven’t read Seafire yet but it’s on my TBR list! I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about These Rebel Waves. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you! I totally agree with you on Rose Hathaway! she’s one of my favorite characters! I really need to pick up Sawkill Girls soon! So far, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it! 🙂

  2. Ooooh your answers were so much fun to read! There were a lot of books with sea settings it seems as you said, and I definitely think Seafire was one of the best. And I’m totally with you about Sky in the Deep. Definitely my pick for best debut of the year. Great picks, and thanks so much for doing the tag! 🙂
