Author Event For Marissa Meyer

My husband and I attended a book event recently for Marissa Meyer.  It was hosted by Anderson’s Bookshop, but held outside the store at the local college.  Even though I haven’t read any of Marissa’s books yet (gasp), I knew I couldn’t miss this one.  I have quite a few of her books here, but I only brought one from home.

The event started with a costume contest.  There were quite a few people dressed up.

Marissa spoke for awhile doing a list of frequently asked questions and then opened it up for audience questions.  She was really funny and did a great job.

After she finished, she picked a number for a prize.  It ended up being one of our numbers, so we got to bring home this poster which she signed.

After that was the signing.  We were numbers 21 and 22, so we didn’t have to wait too long.

It was a fun night.  I would definitely recommend seeing Marissa if you can.  Also, Anderson’s puts on the best book events if you are in IL.

Have you met Marissa?  Make sure you check back on my blog soon.  I have an extra signed copy of Archenemies and I’ll be having a giveaway (US only).

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.
