Just Pretending (The Chicago Falcons #3) by Leah and Kate Rooper
Publication Date: November 5, 2018
Publisher: Entangled Teen Crush
It’s not easy being royal. Sixteen-year-old Evangeline wears her crown proudly, but between her duties and her overprotective big brother, the idea of romance is just a dream. But a chance encounter in Chicago changes all that….
Sure, seventeen-year-old Tyler Evans loves playing hockey, but he’s more concerned about providing for his dad and little sister. Then he meets Eva–and falls head-over-heels in love—and he has two more problems. One, she’s his best friend’s little sister. Two, she wears a crown.
But then Eva accidentally mistakes Tyler for a visiting prince, and for the first time, Tyler doesn’t feel like a nobody. He knows he has to tell her the truth…but not yet.
His plan? To keep up the royal charade as long as it takes to convince Eva he’s the guy for her. Even if he’s lying to everyone…including himself.
Disclaimer: May cause disillusionment. Those girls looking to find their Prince Charming might consider scouting out hockey rinks.

Dear Reader,
It feels like forever ago and only a minute ago when Alice first stepped on the ice as “Al” and started this crazy adventure for the Falcons. Writing the Chicago Falcons series has been such an incredible experience for us, and we’re so grateful to our readers who have read one, two, or all three of our stories. We never could have imagined the journey this would take us on: who would have thought our little hockey team would go from the rink to royalty? Not us that’s for sure!
There is no greater compliment than when a reader writes a comment about “our Falcons”. The adventures of Alice, Hayden, Madison, Daniel, Eva, and Tyler have all focused on the power of friendship and found families. We are so happy to hear that readers have connected to their struggles, their successes, their pains and their joys. Our six Falcons live and breathe in our heads, and to get to share them with the world is a wonderful thing.
We want to thank you for putting up with our selfish girl Al, our hot-tempered Hayden, our loud-mouthed Madison, our cold Evangeline, our insecure Tyler, and our spaghetti-obsessed Daniel (how did spaghetti make such a prominent role in these books? We still laugh about this!) We wanted to create characters with real flaws, characters who failed over and over again, but who grew with every page. This may be the end of their story, but please know all of them are living Happily Ever After in our imaginations.
Thank you again, dear reader, for taking a chance on our little books. We appreciate it more than you know.
Love,
Leah and Kate

This book sounds so much fun and since I love hockey, even better. It sounds like the kind of book I need to read in between heavier/more emotional choices and just let go and have fun.
