I recently asked about this on TBR and Beyond, but thought I would post it here, too. Just a quick discussion since I’ve only been blogging for just over a year. I’m curious if there are any trends in stats.
I noticed a slight decline in blog activity for August, but September has been a drastic decline. My number of views is way down.
I was barely blogging at this time last year, so I can’t really use that to judge. But I’m curious if this is normal this time of the year (school starting)? Or is there something that I might not be doing to get people visiting?
Have you noticed a decline in activity for September? If you’ve been blogging for awhile, is this a normal thing for this time of the year? Do you have any advice to get the views back up or will it just get back to normal again soon?
I have noticed the decline. But I thought it was just me.

Thank you for letting me know. I hope things pick back up for both of us.

I have noticed a decline not only on the blog, but on the other social media too, like Instagram. I was thinking it was my fault, because of the time zone(europe).

Definitely seems like this is normal right now. I’m not sure if it’s always slow this time of the year or if it’s just this year.

I’ve noticed as well, but I thought that might just be because I only recently started my blog.

It’s definitely not just you. If things keep going the way they’ve been, my stats will be similar to what I had back in March. I’ve dropped way down this month.

This time of year is always a killer for me. Even my reads get shamefully slower. I really think it’s a ‘back to school’ thing. October will definitely be better, I’m sure. 😉
Keep the great work. :*

Thank you! It’s good to know that this is normal for this time of the year. I haven’t been blogging long enough to notice trends yet.

I noticed a big decline recently too! Some days are normal, but in general, my stats are way below where they’ve been.

There are quite a few days where I’m getting half the views I usually get. Some days have been good still. So it looks like we’re seeing similar things.

Yes! I had a little break in August so I thought it might have been that but now I’m wondering since you mentioned it.
I try and get on here everyday and read peoples posts and comment etc but sometimes time just runs away with me!

It’s definitely hard. I try to visit 20-30 blogs a day. Some days are a little less though and it’s pretty random.

I know I said this to you already, but I really do think it’s back to school time. I only have 2017 to compare it too, but I also dipped in September, then came up a little in October, then more in November, then got my most hits of the year in December. So, it’s not you, babe! And I think it is happening to all of us! Just look forward to December! Hehe! Happy reading! 💕xx

Thank you! It’s always nice to see and compare things to other bloggers. Odd that December picks up so much. I would think people would be busy. But maybe it’s the vacation/holiday time off. I hope you’re reading a wonderful book right now!

Right? I think that’s totally it! And people wanting to “start up” or just make their blog better for the new year? OH and probably all the “best of” lists for the year… I know I love those… so I bet others do too! Hehehe! 💖xx

The best of lists do get a ton of attention. I love those, too.

My stats have definitely dropped drastically, but I’m pretty sure it’s because I went back to school and haven’t had time to be as engaged in the community as I was this summer 😔

I can see how that would definitely affect it. Thank you for commenting. 🙂

I definitely notice a drop in activity, but I usually assume it’s just people going back to school/work getting busier and people just have to adjust. Mine dipped a little in September last year and then went back up afterwards

Thank you! That’s good to know. Mine started getting lower the second half of August, but September has been really bad. I hope things pick back up soon.

My September is a bit of an anomaly because I have a slightly viral post with like 500+ views this month so in terms of visitors and views this is my best month so far; however, engagement rates are lower. I am only 7 months in so I don’t have anything to compare it too but it would make sense that people are struggling to adjust to back-to-school times, etc. It’s nice to know it isn’t an isolated issue – thanks for posting this!

Thank you for sharing your info, too. I love how great everyone is. It’s so nice to see how things are for other bloggers to notice trends. And congrats on a 500+ view post! That’s incredible. I think my highest was around 250 in a month.

Strange. My June and July were amazing months. Maybe it is the reviews for you. I’m glad you’ve noticed an increase for your blog!

I think that’s really nothing to worry about. I’ve been blogging for almost four years now and I noticed that there are always moments when activity is at its best and moments when stats drop a little bit, especially in September, I think because of the whole back-to-school for a lot of people, too 🙂

Thank you! Hearing from someone blogging for so long is what I was hoping for. I’m glad to hear it’s normal this time of the year.

I wouldn’t worry about it at all, stats really have their ups and downs and I guess there’s not much we can do, but wait it out until people are getting back into the rhythm again 😀 ❤

I am always worried that I’m not doing enough and want to keep people coming back. So I totally understand that.

I’m glad if I could be of help 🙂 it really depends, but there are moments in the year when there seems to be a slow decline everywhere, so I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m certain you’re doing great, keep on going 😀

I noticed this also. I think I’ll take a look at my blog data and see it it’s common occurrence from the past two years.

It’s rather easy. Just take it one day at a time. By the way, I hadn’t noticed it before but after school resumes for the year it there’s a decline in post visits.
