Liebster Award (not sure which number this is)

I was tagged by Katie at Too Old For YA.  Please make sure you check out her great blog.  Thank you for the tag, Katie.

I know I’ve done some of these before.  And if I’m being honest, I’ve probably had ones I forgot to do.  So I don’t know which number this is.  I’m thankful for each one and I’m sorry if I skipped your tag in the past.

The Liebster Award:

Liebster is a German word meaning beloved or dearest. The Liebster Award is for your favorite or beloved bloggers who deserve some love in their lives.

The Rules:

1. Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
3. Nominate 11 blogs.
4. Notify those blogs of the nomination.
5. Give them 11 questions to answer.

I’m not going to nominate anyone because I have no idea who hasn’t gotten this yet.  If you haven’t please consider yourself nominated and just answer the same questions I had.

Q&A:

What 2018 release isn’t getting enough attention?

There are so many.  The Summer of Jordi Perez, The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik, Undead Girl Gang, Heretics Anonymous, A Touch Of Gold, People Like Us, and so many more.

Do you like listening to audiobooks?

It’s funny because I just did a post about this.  I didn’t like them much before, but I’m really starting to enjoy them now.  Especially the ones with a full cast.

What do you love seeing on a book cover?

It really depends on the book, but color seems to stand out to me.  I like bright colors in general, so those tend to pop more.  And then anything that fits the book.

What do you hate seeing on a book cover?

I don’t hate anything, but I’m not always a fan of people on the covers.  Some look amazing (like Sky in the Deep), but so many are just plain and boring.

What fictional character do you imagine looks most like you?

I’m honestly not sure that I’ve found any that I think looks like me.  The closes would probably be Abby from The Summer of Jordi Perez, but with some differences.

Live TV shows with weekly episodes or streaming shows that drop a whole season at once?

I don’t watch a ton of tv shows, but I prefer to get the whole season so I can watch when I want.  I rarely remember to watch a show weekly.

Does chocolate qualify as a type of candy?

I consider it candy or a snack.

What does your TBR look like right now?

Way more books than I’ll have time to read.  I don’t do monthly TBRs except for ARC/book for challenges.  And August and September are a mess.  I requested too many.

Favorite blog post you created this month?

It’s not up yet, but I have a feeling it will be my blog tour post for Marcus Vega Doesn’t Speak Spanish.  I can’t wait to share it with everyone later this month.

How many one star reviews have you given?

Probably very little if any.  I usually do two stars when I don’t like a book because I can always find something positive about it.  And I know the author worked hard, so I feel horrible giving something a low rating.

How many five star reviews have you given?

A lot.  I tend to rate pretty high, especially if I enjoyed reading something.  I also round up to five stars for four and a half star reads.  So my goodreads has a ton of five star books.

Thank you again for the nomination Katie!  I loved your questions.

My name is Kristi and I review books and mod on TBR and Beyond on Facebook. I love to travel and go to concerts. I've been married for over 20 years. I listen to a lot of pop punk. Otherwise, I'm pretty boring. We do have four grandchildren now and try to see them monthly since they don't live close. I read mostly YA and adult mystery/thrillers. I also read a lot of middle grade and some adult romance. You can also find me on facebook, twitter, and instagram (don't post often).
