July 2018 Book Haul!

I think this is the first month that I received more books than I purchased!  I still got a lot though.

Books I Won:

Books Sent By Publishers:

From Page Street Publishing

From Tor Teen (for book tour)

From Jimmy Patterson Books:

From Delacorte Press (for blog tour):

From Viking/Penguin For Young Readers (for book tour):

Digital books purchased (both on sale):

From Book Boxes:

Purchased Physical Books:

Barnes & Noble (some were sales or I had coupons, some were preorders):

From Book Depository:

I hope I got everything.  In total, there were 47 books for July.  22 of those were purchased (a lot were graphic novels that were buy 3 get 1 free).  I received 23 books from publishers (both digital and physical).  And I won 2 books from book blogs.

How many books did you get in July?  Any favorites?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

  1. I’m so jealous of all these books! I can’t wait until my blog gets rolling so I can review for publishers. I just started The Cheerleaders today, and I’m so excited to curl up and read some more this afternoon. Hopefully I’ll be writing my own review on my blog soon!

      1. Oh yeah, that is frustrating! I always read those on my laptop. I guess they’re a catch-22 – on one hand, I have to be in the mood to sit at my laptop and read, but on the other hand, for some reason I’m very good at reading those in one sitting and not getting distracted haha!

      1. Some people have really good luck and I’ve heard of others that never get books from them. Just make sure your profile is strong, you have all your numbers, and your social media hooked up. Maybe try downloading a book that you don’t have to request and send your review through Edelweiss. Some publishers have specific requirements, too. One told me they only approve to librarians and book sellers. Another said I needed to blog for 6 months and have 300 (or it might have been 500) followers. It can take awhile. Some publishers are easier to work with than others. I still get declined for a lot of popular books.

      1. I want to get some books, haven’t gotten physical books in a really long time. Most of mine have been ebooks…

      2. I would prefer physical books, but a lot of publishers and so on don’t send books to the SA, so I have learnt to enjoy the ebooks.

      3. Just have so much to read and never enough time, right? If I could have one super power it would be to stop time, then I can read as many books as I want and get the reviews ready and just be like: “Yeah, I read 700 books this month…” ♥
