I was tagged by Ginny @ Discerning Couch Potato for the Secret Life of a Book Blogger. Make sure you check out her blog!
1. How long have you been blogging?
I started on WP July 19, 2017, so almost a year. I started a blog a week or two earlier, but I didn’t have many followers/posts until I moved here.
2. At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?
Hopefully not for a long time. I’ll stop when it’s no longer fun or if I don’t have the time. But I really enjoy blogging.
3. What is the best thing about blogging?
Being part of the community and finding others to talk to. I have friends that read in real life, but it’s nice to have a larger pool of people to talk to daily about books. Everyone has been so nice.
4. What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?
It can sometimes be stressful to find something to post about. I just try to make a schedule and hope I can fill in the gaps with something. Tags help a lot.
5. How long does it take you to find make/find pictures to use?
Most of my pictures are book covers, so not too long. When I do take my own pictures, it can sometimes take quite awhile to set everything up. Going through all the pictures takes awhile and sometimes I don’t find any good ones to use.
6. Who is your book crush?
I’ve had quite a few, but I’ll stick with Thomas Cresswell. He’s been one for awhile and I’m sure it will continue with the next book coming out this fall.
7. What author would you like to have on your blog?
So many! I honestly love having any author on my blog. But some dream authors would be Adam Silvera, Victoria Schwab, and Becky Albertalli. Also Kerri Maniscalco and Kara Thomas.
8. What do you wear when you write your blog posts?
Usually the clothes I sleep in. Pajama pants and a tee shirt or long sleeve comfy shirt.
9. How long does it take you to prepare?
I’m not sure. I guess each post is different. With blog tours, I have to save everything and figure out how I want the post to look. Reviews take a little while to write. Some posts are super easy and quick though. It just varies. I use a planner and take notes, too.
10. How do you feel about the book blogging community?
I love it! There are a few drama issues, but I try to avoid those. Most bloggers have been super nice and inviting.
11. What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?
I’m not sure how successful mine really is. But I always recommend consistent posting and sharing on social media. Also, follow other blogs and visit them when you can. I pick a handful of blogs to visit every day based on what the topics are. I either like the post or comment. Also, reply to the comments you get on your blog. Even if they’re short replies. It helps other people get to know you and they feel appreciated.
Thank you for the tag Ginny! I tag anyone who wants to do this one. Just make sure you share the link with me so I can check out your answers.

Ahhhh, happy (early) blogiversary! That’s so exciting!
And hahaha, I can relate to going through all the pictures, and still not finding any good ones… My photos all turn out blurry… Ugh.
