The Netgalley Book Tag

➽ RULES
¬ Link back to the tag’s creator: Kourtni at Kourtni Reads
¬ Thank and link back to the person who tagged you: Mel To The Any
¬ Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
¬ Tag a few people to do this too!

➽ AUTO-APPROVED: WHO’S ONE AUTHOR WHOSE BOOKS YOU AUTOMATICALLY WANT TO READ, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY ARE ABOUT?

I have way too many of these.  I think I would probably say Adam Silvera because I would read anything he writes.

➽ REQUEST: WHAT MAKES YOU WANT TO REQUEST A BOOK ON NETGALLEY?

The first thing I do is look for books that are already on my TBR.  For other books, I look through the categories I read the most (mostly ya) and look at the covers.  Yes, I am horrible, but the covers jump out to me and make me want to learn more.  I also look for books by authors I like.  When I first joined, I just requested anything, but I’ve gotten a bit pickier over the last year.

➽ FEEDBACK RATIO: DO YOU REVIEW EVERY BOOK YOU READ? IF NOT, HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT BOOKS TO REVIEW?

Screenshot 2018-06-08 11.17.59

I try my hardest to review everything.  I was not good at that the first year and didn’t really want to read the books anymore.  But now that I’m pickier, I generally review or send feedback for all the books I request.

➽ BADGES: IF YOU COULD CREATE ONE BADGE TO DISPLAY ON YOUR BLOG, WHAT WOULD IT BE FOR?

I like Melanie’s idea of badges for diversity.  I think genre badges would be cool.  Or maybe one for the year you joined.

➽ WISH FOR IT: WHAT’S ONE BOOK THAT YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY DYING TO READ?

Another question that I can reply with so many books.  I’ll be good and pick just one.

➽ 2018 NETGALLEY CHALLENGE: WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK THAT YOU RECEIVED AS AN ARC THAT YOU REVIEWED? IF YOU’VE NEVER RECEIVED AN ARC, WHAT’S THE LAST BOOK YOU REVIEWED?

This will probably be different by the time this is published since I started one today.  But the last one I read and reviewed on Negalley was Kiss of the Royal.  I only reviewed this on Netgalley and not my blog though.  I’m doing a blog tour for it, so the review will go up then.

Thank you Melanie for the tag.  I don’t do many, but this one was fun.  I’m not going to tag anyone (it makes me a bit nervous), but if you want to do it, please consider yourself tagged.  Just make sure you share it with me so I can see your answers.

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.
