Down the TBR #31

Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when youre scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go

As before, if there are no comments below the cover, I just don’t really remember adding the book to my list.   I will be doing 15 again this week.

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

  1. I am a fan of Lisa Unger but I feel Crazy Love You was very meh. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other two books I’ve read from her. So you’re not missing much from removing from your TBR.

    1. Thanks! I feel better about that one now. I wasn’t sure and I would like to try something by her at some point. I’m not sure if I’ve ever read any of her books or not. I may have years ago, but I’m not positive. But I’m thinking no.

      1. Yeah I would say it’s one of her weaker ones. If you do plan on checking her out I suggest In the Blood and The Red Hunter. Her book Ink and Bone is suppose to be really good too. I need to read that.
