April 2018 Wrap Up

I had a pretty good reading month for April.  I read 11 books and listened to 1 audiobook.  I even started a 12th book, but won’t finish it before the end of the day (I’m writing this on April 30th).

I have reviews up for some of these books already, but not all of them.  Some are scheduled and others were for blog tours coming up in May.

The Girl and the Grove by Eric Smith (digital arc from netgalley)  320 pages  4 stars

Spies, Lies, and Allies by Lisa Brown Roberts (digital arc from Entangled Teen) 368 pages 4 stars

The Favorite Sister by Jessica Knoll  (digital arc from netgalley)  384 pages  4 stars

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian  (physical arc won from author) 432 pages 5 stars

The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo (digital arc from netgalley) 288 pages 4 stars

Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson (digital arc from Edelweiss) 448 pages 4  1/2 stars

The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik by David Arnold (physical arc from Penguin Teen) 432 pages  4  1/2 stars

Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff  (audiobook)  5 stars

LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff  (digital arc from netgalley) 416 pages 5 stars

Ship It by Britta Lundin  (digital arc from netgalley/wish for it) 384 pages  5 stars

Tradition by Brendan Kiely  (digital copy from publisher for blog tour) 352 pages 4  1/2 stars

]Fat Girl on a Plane by Kelly deVos (digital arc from edelweiss) 304 pages  4  1/2 stars

As you can see, I really liked everything I read this month.  I read a total of 4128 pages.  My favorite books this month were:  Ash Princess, Gemina (audio), LIFEL1K3, and Ship It.

April was also my best month on my blog so far.  I will have those totals up in another post soon.  My book haul will also be up later this week.

How was your April?  Did you read any of these books?  What was your favorite read(s) for the month?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

  1. So glad to hear you had such a lovely reading month! I also read The Girl and the Grove and The Way You Make Me Feel and enjoyed both of them 🙂 I’m really curious about Ash Princess, so glad you loved it so much!
    I hope you’ll have an amazing month 🙂 x

    1. I’ve seen the same mixed reviews. I think the biggest thing is that it’s not super original. But I’ve only really been reading YA fantasy for a couple years and everything still feels pretty new to me. I hope you like it if you read it.
