February 2018 Book Haul (it’s a big one again)

I have a pretty large haul for February.  There were so many good books that came out and some great sales.  I also won some giveaways!

I’ll start with giveaway wins (physical books):

I won this set from Laura Sebastian on twitter.

Another twitter win.

Also from twitter.

I won Truly Devious (my choice of book) from a blog giveaway and You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone from a twitter giveaway (my choice from a list).

These next ones are physical books that I had pre-ordered over the past few months:

Reign of the Fallen is signed from One More Page.  The remaining four were ordered from Barnes & Noble.

I won this from Amanda Foody.  I’m part of the street team #Irons.

These books are from book events:

Sightwitch is from Mysterious Galaxy and The Hazel Wood is from Anderson’s.

I purchased two other books while on vacation:

I picked up Mermaids at Warwicks at the airport and The Last Unicorn at Mysterious Galaxy.

Barnes & Noble had a 3 for $30 sale on YA books online.  I made two different purchases.

Shadowsong, Let’s Talk About Love Nyxia, A Land of Permanent Goodbyes, Thunderhead, and A Court Of Mist And Fury

These were purchased at Anderson’s Bookshop.

Rani Patel In Full Effect, The First Rule Of Punk, and The Dollmaker Of Krakow

These were from Half Price Books (used).

National Geographic Traveler:  Sicily,  Shadowhunters and Downworders, and Nevernight UK edition

I got one current book box and purchased an older one on sale:

The Hazel Wood was Owl Crate’s book for Feb and I purchased Kat and Meg Conquer The World from an old LitJoy Crate sale.

A few more that I didn’t take pictures of.  A couple were purchased the end of January, but I already had my book haul post done:

Full Frontal Feminism & It’s Even Worse Than You Think are from Barnes & Noble.  Planting Gardens in Graves Volume One is from Target.

Now on to digital books.  I didn’t get many in February for some reason.  I’m still waiting to hear back on quite a few that I requested.

Just three this month and none from Edelweiss. 😦  Grim Lovelies was a pleasant surprise from Netgalley.  I didn’t expect to get it.  Risen and Phoenix Fire are both from Entangled Teen.

I think that’s everything (I’m writing this 2/26, so I may get something else and it will go on March’s haul post).  I bought too many, but also won quite a few from giveaways.  If I counted right, I had 7 from giveaway wins, one from an author, 2 from publishers, 1 from netgalley, and 26 purchased.  So 37 total books this month.  How was your February book haul?  Did you get too many books?  And is there really such a thing as too many books?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

    1. I normally don’t win that many. For some reason, I was really lucky the beginning of Feb. I won a lot close together and then it stopped. Definitely enter to win as many as you can find. I enter a lot on twitter, goodreads, blogs, and through e-mails from authors and publishers. YABC also has a ton of giveaways, but I’ve only ever won one from them.

  2. OMGiddy aunt. That is a huge haul. I feel a bit dizzy. Now you need a way of bending time so you can fit them all in. Or getting away to a deserted island with no distractions.
    Happy reading. 😄
    Lynn.
