Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
If there are no comments below the book cover, it just means that I don’t remember adding the book and that’s why I’m removing it. I will be doing 15 again this week.
One Good Thing by Kevin Alan Milne
The Good Sister by Jamie Kain
The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney
Early To Death, Early To Rise by Kim Harrison As much as I love Kim Harrison’s books, I doubt I’ll pick this one up.
Accidents of Marriage by Randy Susan Meyers
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews This sounds good, but I doubt I’ll get around to it.
The Undertaking by Audrey Magee
Frankenstein Rec by Costas Zapas
Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel I’m actually surprised that I haven’t read this yet. I really liked the movie a lot.
Vampires of Manhattan by Melissa De La Cruz How have I not read this one yet? I really liked The Blue Bloods books.
Ancient Guardians The Legacy of the Key by S.L. Morgan
Red Run by Kami Garcia I love Kami Garcia, but this is just a short story and I doubt I’ll pick it up.
How I Became Lotus Raine the Porn Star by Erika Ashby This sounds good, but I doubt I’ll ever get around to picking it up.
All Fall Down by Jennifer Weiner Another that sounds good, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever get around to it.
REMOVE (for now)
Detached by Wendi Starusnak
This was another week that I was able to remove quite a few books. I only kept 2 books and removed 13.
