January 2018 Wrap Up

I did ok with my reading for January.  I read 8 ARCs, 1 older book, and finished 1 audiobook.  I really enjoyed all of them with no negative reviews.

The Traitor Prince by C.J. Redwine    Physical ARC  4  1/2 stars

You Won’t Know I’m Gone by Kristen Orlando   Digital ARC  4 stars

American Panda by Gloria Chao   Digital ARC  5 stars

Wicked Charm by Amber Hart   Digital ARC  3  1/2-4 stars  (torn on the rating)

Welcome Home by various authors    Physical copy sent by Eric Smith   4 stars

The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross   Digital ARC  5 stars

Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco   audible  5 stars

People Like Us by Dana Mele  Physical ARC   4  1/2 stars

Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston   Digital ARC   5 stars

The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton  Digital ARC  4  1/2 stars (came close to 5)

My favorite read of the month was probably The Queen’s Rising.  American Panda and Heart of Iron were right behind it.  Stalking Jack was a reread and will always be a favorite.

So 10 books total.  February will be a slower month for me since I won’t read much on vacation.   I would be thrilled to read 7, but we’ll see how I do.  I have no real TBR except for a couple arcs I need to read (The Wicked Deep, Ace of Shades, The Summer of Jordi Perez).

How was your January?  Did you read any of the same books as me?  What was your favorite read for the month?

I'm Kristi. I'm a wife, mom, and grandma. I have been breeding leopard geckos for ten years. I love to read and have been trying to review more books (the reason for this blog besides wanting to talk about books with everyone). I also love music and going to concerts, mostly punk and pop punk.

      1. I can’t read in a car/train/plane usually, but I’ve started listening to audio books in the car which has been great. I’m so jealous of anyone who can read in a moving vehicle without getting a headache.

  1. Ten books is awesome and especially since you really enjoyed them all! I rarely read much on vacations either. I always mean to, but then I just get too busy doing other things instead.
