Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
Going with another 15 books this week. Most that are being removed are because I really don’t remember adding them. So if there is no reason below the picture, that is why I took out that book.
Wholesome by Deena Nehring
Hear Me Scream by R.M. James
Fade To Black by M.C. Webb
Nyx by P.C. Cast It’s been awhile since I’ve read the House of Night books, but this one still sounds good.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman This book is so big, but I really like Neil Gaiman.
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman I actually have this book.
Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
Requiem by Lauren Oliver I need to read Delirium first to see if I want to continue with these books.
REMOVE (FOR NOW)
Panic by Lauren Oliver I really need to pick up some of Lauren’s books. I loved listening to her when she toured.
The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell I was torn on this one. It still sounds good, but I just don’t see me picking it up unless it’s gifted to me.
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd
Loving Frank by Nancy Horan
Death in a Prairie House by William R. Drennan I love true crime and Frank Lloyd Wright, but I doubt I’ll ever get around to reading this.
The Barter by Siobhan Adcock
The Last Town by Blake Crouch This sounds good, but it’s a book three. I should probably try to pic up book one sometime.
I removed 11 and kept 4 this week. Have you read any of these books?
