Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
I’m going to do 15 this week. If there are no comments, it’s because I just don’t remember adding the book or it just doesn’t interest me anymore.
I Am Pilgrim. There are some decent reviews of this, but I don’t see myself picking up a 600 page book right now unless it’s something I am dying to read.
Trial By Fire This has some decent reviews and I love witch books.
Deadly Bloodlines I think I might keep this one just because it takes place in the Cayman Islands. I don’t think I’ve read anything from there yet. No idea if I’ll ever pick it up though.
KEEP (for now)
Holding Avery This just sounds too sad for me.
In Between Dreams
The Summer You Slept On Glass
The Tumble Inn
Pretty From A Distance
If I Fall, If I Die This has a lot of mixed reviews, so I doubt I’ll ever pick it up.
Close To Home I would like to try a book by Lisa Jackson (I may have read some in the past.) but this one has a lot of really mixed reviews. So maybe I’ll try a different one.
The Alchemist There are a lot of good reviews for this one.
Winter Falls I honestly don’t remember adding this, but it sounds pretty good.
I removed 11 and kept 4 this week. Not too bad. Have you read any of these books?
